District 9200 Commemorative Stamps

A stamp edition has been issued by both Tanzania and Kenya to commemorate Rotary's work and Centennial in both countries.

The centennial stamp issues were launched in March 2005, in time for the District Centennial Conference while the official launch of the Tanzania stamps by the the Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism took place in Kampala on the 24th September 2005.

One of the Tanzania stamps was specifically designed by PDG Amu Shah (who is also the interim chairman of the Tanzania Philatelic Association) and it is the first time in the history of District 9200 that the district map has appeared on a stamp. And, unlike other countries, Tanzania always portraits actual Rotary projects undertaken in the country.
