THANK YOU FOR SERVING YOUR DISTRICT

Dear All,

Allow me to say thank you to all who served as Club, Country and District Officers during the Rotary Year 2009-10. It has been a great year for me and I presume it was the same to all who enjoyed serving as Rotarians. This is the Rotary way which I think is great and other institutions should follow, serve for a limited period of time and transfer your responsibility to the next one assigned.

For me it was a year of learning and acquiring knowledge about Rotary, I learnt a lot more than I expected thanks to all who contributed to my added knowledge. Not only that my responsibility allowed me to meet and make friends with more Rotarians in the District but also to know who are the pillars of the District. Rotarians who were always alert and who knew what they should do to guide and find solutions for problems that needed their support. I hope you can understand I cannot make the long list I wish to make of those who deserve recognition for their special effort, but please allow me to keep it to myself as a pleasant memory.

I can only say thank you all who were always supportive and ready to share their knowledge to support me, some faster than expected. If I say I succeeded to complete my responsibility for the Rotary Year it is because you were there to support me. If there were failures or misunderstandings of any nature allow me to take the blame.

Finally I wish District Governor 2010-11 Stephen Mwanje and his team to have a successful year.
