Excerpt from the District Conference Newsletter
The Theme of Rotary International for 2010/11 “Building Communities – Bridging Continents” fulfills two objectives according to District Governor Elect Stephen Mwanje: “The first to explain the purpose of Rotary to Non-Rotarians and the second to confirm and validate the importance of our principles to Rotarians“. On the 85th District Assembly of the Rotary International District 9200 Friday morning, DGE Stephen explained with this theme, two questions shall be DGE Stephen appealed to all Rotarians and all Clubs to work with strategic planning, succession planning to come to more innovation to make Rotary and its projects bigger, better and bolder. The district has his strategic plan, DGE Stephen says, but it had to be put in action. The same the clubs had to do. DGE Stephen stressed that strategic planning creates stability, builds consensus, optimizes the use of resources and builds shared visions. Good projects could contribute to make Rotary bigger, better and bolder. His own task as incoming DG will be to support the clubs, DGE Stephen says.
