Machakos General Hospital Waiting Bay Commissioned

Rotary Club of Machakos members held a Golf Tournament at the Royal Club, Nairobi to raise funds for the construction of the Machakos Hospital Visitors Waiting bay.
The project was completed at a cost of Kshs350,000/= and was commisioned on 10th June 2010.The Function was officiated by AG Alex Nyaga as Guest of Honour.

District 9200 Membership Goals for 2010/11

Following are the District 9200 Membership Goals for 2010/11:
- All clubs to attain membership of 25 members,
- 80% Clubs to attain a net increase of 2 in membership,
- 30% Clubs to have at least 30% lady members,
- ALL Clubs in good standing (payment of all dues, audited accounts),
- No club terminated during the year.

Clean water provision through rain water harvesting for schools in Kyengera
From the DG's August Newsletter
Kyengera Township in Wakiso district is only 8Kms out of Kampala city but in spite of this prime location clean water is still a big problem for the growing population in the area. The fast urbanisation rate in Kyengera is posing serious solid waste disposal challenges and the few water sources in the valleys are getting chocked with garbage deposition and faecal contamination.
